Living up to the expecations
Trade fairs are no pic-nic, and MEDICA in Germany is top-dog in the world of medical appliance fairs. Standing out amongst thousands of exhibitors from over 60 countries can be a challenge even for the most established players like Getinge. Consider also the expectations people have when you have the largest exhibiton area of the fair. How do you get people to stay in your exhibition area for those extra minutes that can make or break a deal?
Don’t let the suits fool you
In the serious world of medical appliances, there isn’t much room for fun and games. MORE saw this as a window for getting some attention at MEDICA and adding value to Getinge’s presence. We developed a concept where Getinge’s different product areas were visualised through mini games. Since the visitors came from all over the world we needed to include as many as possible and therefore developed applications for iPhone, Android and Java/Symbian. The apps created value both on site in the trade fair and after the event.
The success of this solution show that people in suits like to play sometimes too – and who wouldn’t like to be #1 on a 50” plasma screen highscore list as your colleagues walk by?
