A crowded market
The increasing number of brands taking place in the shelves as well as storeowners being stricter on the use of point of sale material were a contributing factors for Semper to try out new ways for visibility.
After successfully launching the iPhone app “Stan med barn” for Semper in 2010 we were asked to design and develop an in-store iPad app for their baby food product range with the ability to customize the application for several markets within Hero Group.
With the growing demand from consumers on information regarding nutrition and allergens in baby food Semper wanted the app to focus on in depth product information, something that has been hard for them to include on the limited space available on the baby food jars and packages.
In-store marketing by consultation
The in-store app mounted in racks at the baby food section of larger grocery stores is displaying Semper’s full baby food assortment with the possibility to segment products based on age, allergies and categories. The consumer can press a button corresponding to the baby’s age and allergies and receive information on suitable products as well as suggestions for weekly menus appropriate for the baby.
Win-win
Each application has a unique ID, which allows the iPads to be tracked individually. The iPads collect valuable consumer statistics in the stores in which they are placed and the consumers appreciate the guidance received when deciding on food for their babies. Everybody wins!
